40 years of history

1973

Thanks to the enterprise of Mr. Fumagalli Giancarlo, in 1973 an individual company called "La Bottega dei Maestri Forgiatori" was born in Varese (north of Italy) specialising itself in the artistic handwork of wrought iron indoor lightings. After five years of activity the company started to employ some workers and to open itself to foreign markets, in particular to the Japanese one.

1984

An intuition of Mr. Fumagalli lead the company to an evolution, creating an innovative outdoor lightings production system, consisting of a galvanized steel tube covered by resin material. After some years of experimentation and the setting-up of adeguate machineries, the product started to be appreciated all over the world.

1999

Fumagalli family decides to turn the individual company into a limited company, going on with the manufacturing of "composite material" outdoor lighting fixtures. The articles range increased thanks to the creation of many new models and the production capacity was multiplied by the use of computerized machineries. The recent settlement in the new company seat had definitively made Fumagalli S.r.l a worldwide leading company in the manufacturing of resin material outdoor lightings.

We are proud to define ourselves as a “pure Italian manufacturer”: all our products are strictly manufactured inside our factory located in Varese (Italy), enabling us to have a full control about the quality and performance of our products.

Moulds construction

New hi-tech work stations working only for the construction of our moulds enable us to update constantly our collection with new products manufactured in accordance with the most advanced lighting solutions. An internal mould construction division means also full control on the quality of our product in all its details and a continous and regular maintenance of the many existing moulds.

Components Stock

Fumagalli stock of raw materials components and semi-finished products is mantained at the best levels to ensure prompt delivery of standard products and fast preparation of special of large quantity orders.

CERTIFIED QUALITY

In order to assure the reliability of its manufacturing and marketing process, the company Fumagalli Srl has implemented and maintains a management system, which meets the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2008, as certified by The International Certification Network IQNET, which is the largest provider of management system certification in the world, and by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems SQS.

Fumagalli products obtained also the C-UL-US certification Mark, as they meet the United States National Standard for Luminaires UL1598 and the Canadian National Standard for Luminaires CSA C22.2 No. 250.0. Fumagalli company is officially registered as a UL classified manufacturer and, upon request, a copy of the UL Certificate of Compliance can be provided to Fumagalli customers, together with the report about the following tests conducted on Fumagalli products: Grounding Continuity Test, Normal Temperature Test, Dielectric Voltage-Withstand Test, Rain Test, Sprinkler Test.

Dr. Chiara Fumagalli

Developing Dept. Manager

Graduate by the Milan University in philosophy, she is holder of a diploma in foreign languages: she can speak and write in Italian, English, German and French.

Arch. Paolo Fumagalli

Technical Dept. Manager

Graduate in architecture by the polytechnic University of Milan, he achieved the specialization in lighting tecnique by the University of Manchester (U. K.). He speaks Italian and English.

Dr. Emmanuele Fumagalli
